Trouble ahead for Hera Pheri?
Director Neeraj Vohra denied having received any letter.
Recent reports have confirmed that the original star cast of Hera Pheri will be coming back together for a reboot. However, there seems to be some trouble ahead for the franchise’s third instalment.
The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has sent a letter to director Neeraj Vohra and the film’s star cast informing them about a notice of non-cooperation that it has passed against the film’s producer Firoz Nadiadwala. The notice is in relation to non-settlement of dues to director Anees Bazmee and a few other technicians, the total amount of which comes around to Rs 2 crores.
The letter, a copy of which is in possession of Deccan Chronicle, also requests the director and the star cast to keep any participation in Nadiadwala’s forthcoming projects in abeyance and to cooperate with the association’s decision.
Dilip Pithwa General secretary of the FWICE said, “Yes, a letter has been sent yesterday. It is a reminder to the members of our family asking them to support us. Until Firoz Nadiadwala will not clear the dues, the employees of our association will not be working with him.”
Director Neeraj Vohra denied having received any letter and said, “Not come to me yet.” On his part, producer Firoz Nadiadwala said, “I haven’t received any letter yet. Our association, Indian Film and Television Producers Council is officially looking into the matter.”
