Alia and Jacqueline shut down all rift rumours due to Sidharth with this fun chat
The two actresses finally cleared all the air surrounding their tiff also involving Sidharth Malhotra in theur own style.
Mumbai: Jacqueline Fernandez got portrayed as the ‘other woman’ in her ‘A Gentleman’ co-star Sidharth Malhotra’s life for causing his alleged break-up with rumoured girlfriend, actress Alia Bhatt.
Among several reasons cited to come to this conclusion were some obvious ones, like Sidharth-Jacqueline’s steamy real and reel-life chemistry and some bizarre ones like the 'Roy' actress unfollowing Alia on Instagram.
After weeks of rumour mills being abuzz with such reports, Jacqueline finally cleared the air in an interview with DNA, where she said, “When these rumours started, initially, I was like, ‘Theek hai, it’s just a momentary thing and it will stop.’ But it really started irking me when they got to the point of saying I unfollowed Alia. Then these rumours about a fallout between me and Alia started. I know she is very understanding and will know where this is coming from.”
She added, “I picked up the phone and called her. I told Alia that I don’t care what people say or mean, or how they judge me. They can think anything about me. But I do care about what she thinks of me. I spoke to her about this whole unfollowing incident, which is in no way the truth. I follow over a thousand people. Alia and I have so much banter on Twitter and I didn’t even actually realise that I was not following her on Instagram. We are always having conversations on Twitter, so I was thinking, “Are people retarded? Don’t they see all that?”
About the ‘Highway’ actress’ reaction, Jacqueline had said, “Alia was really cute. She laughed and said, “Next time we meet, let’s click loads of selfies and put them up! (Laughs) We planned to take over Instagram like that. We had a good laugh over it. But honestly, I don’t like people coming between me and my co-stars.”
In the interview, Jacqueline had also said that she was not dating Sidharth and that she was tired of being linked to her co-stars as she doesn’t see them that way.
Alia, on the other hand, in an interview to Hindustan Times, had said that there won’t be any break-up or patch-up in her life now as she wanted to only focus on her work, but had never commented about the Jacqueline factor in her equation with Sidharth.
She,however, made an appearance at a screening of Jacqueline’s ‘Judwaa 2’ few days back, but that could perhaps be linked to her friendship with her ‘Student of the Year’ co-star Varun Dhawan.
But Alia didn’t stop at that and while praising the film on Twitter tagged all three protagonists Varun, Taapsee Pannu and 'surprisingly' Jacqueline too.
And adding to the madness @Asli_Jacqueline and @taapsee totally win you over😘😘😘This ones going to be hugeeeee!!!! ✌ï¸âœŒï¸âœŒï¸

Jacqueline thanked Alia for the comments, with words like ‘cutey’ and ‘Mwaahhhbbb’, leaving no doubt whatsoever in their equation.
Thank you cutey!!!!! So happy having you there yest!!! Mwaahhhbbb

The only question that remains unanswered or rather unconfirmed is if Alia and Sidharth have actually broken up, going through a lover’s tiff or if they never dated.
