Meera Mitun upset over missing chance to work with Rajinikanth

Meera Mitun, the well-known model and Miss South India beauty pageant winner, who debuted with 8 Thottakkal in a role with grey shades and later was noticed as Kalaiyarasan pair in Thaana Serndha Koottam was in the midst of controversy for giving a revealing pose for a jewellary ad. “Modeling is an art. One has to look at it with artistic eyes. So, I feel there’s nothing wrong being glamorous when the concept demands,” she justifies.

She adds, “Though I got many offers after TSK, nothing was impressive. I want to choose performance oriented roles irrespective of whether it’s is a heroine or character roles.”

Speaking about how she missed the chance to act opposite Superstar Rajinikanth in Petta , she said, “I went for audition and even gave look test and screen test. But, I am clueless why I was not selected. I was upset. I later I came to know Trisha has been brought on board (smiles).” We hear that you were signed on for Kamal Haasan’s production venture Vikram starrer Kadaram Kondan but even that was dropped later. “True! I was to play a crucial character in KK directed by Rajesh M Selvah. For some reasons, it also went out of my hand. I am confident that I will get back what I missed in the days to come.”
