Malavika as Tribal Queen

The makers of the film Thangalaan, starring Chiyaan Vikram, has released the first look of Malavika Mohanan as Aarathi, in celebration of the lead actress’ 30th birthday on Friday. In the poster, Malavika is portrayed as a tribal queen — she wears multiple beaded necklaces and brandishes a weapon.

The film is helmed by Pa Ranjith. Malavika shared the poster on Instagram with the message, “This one is incredibly special. Thank you @ranjithpa & team #Thangalaan. Can’t wait for the whole world to see Aarathi.” Thangalaan’s ensemble cast includes Parvathy Thiruvothu, Pasupathy, Daniel Caltagirone and Hari Krishnan.
