Director Hari readying Singam 4 script for Suriya

Director Hari Gopalakrishnan is said to be working on the script of Singam 4 with Kollywood star Suriya, who has large fan base in the two Telugu states.

Though he is busy with another project, reports said  he has been working on Singam 4 simultaneously. However, it could take some more time to take a final shape. Once the final script is ready, Hari would narrate it to Suriya. 

If the actor okays the story, the reports said it is likely to get on to the sets without any delay, said sources.

Suriya impressed Telugu movie-goers with his films -- Gajini, Singam, 24 and other films and therefore most of his movies are released simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.

Of these, Singam won appreciation from the masses. Buoyed by the success, it was filmed as a franchise. With director Hari Gopalakrishnan at the helm, three parts of the movie had already been released and all of them registered a good box office collection.

The first part of Singam was released in 2010, and encouraged by the success, the second part was unveiled with the title Singam 2 in 2013, which also received a good response. In 2017, the third part was released but it received mixed response. However, the box office figures indicated profit.

Suriya last acted in Evariku Talavanchaku which was a hit in Kollywood but failed to impress the Telugu audience. Currently, the Kollywood superstar is acting in a pan-India movie which is temporarily titled ‘Suriya 42’ under the direction of Sirutai Siva. Disha Patani is making her Tamil debut with Suriya in the two-part 3D periodic drama being made in 10 languages.
