Paper Boy comes to Tamil
Arunagiri of ChandiVeeran fame has been brought on board for music.
Remaking Telugu hits in Tamil is becoming something of a trend with K’town filmmakers. The latest is the T’town film Paper Boy, which is being remade in Tamil with the same title. The film is directed by Sridhar Govindhraj, a former assistant of Vijay Milton. He has worked in films like GoliSada and Kadugu.
Swathishraja and Yamini Bhaskar are the lead pair. Talking to DC, Sridhar says, “It is a romantic drama and was a big hit in Telugu. The film is about a paperboy who falls in love with a multi-millionaire and the multiple problems they face. I have made a few changes to give a local flavour. I have used a realistic approach without making it melodramatic. Music plays an important role in PB.”
Arunagiri of ChandiVeeran fame has been brought on board for music. Vadivukkarasi, Thalai Vasal Vijay, Sujatha, Rekha, Saravanan (who played the deadly villain in Raatchasan) and MGR’s grandson Ramachandran are among others on the cast.
