Bhuvan R Nullan of Mo fame returns after a gap of three years with Zombie, starring an array of actors including Yogi Babu, Yashika Anand, Gopi Sudhakar, a popular face in Youtube, Anbu of Kolamaavu Kokila fame, TM Karthik, Bijili Ramesh and Ramar.

We ask Bhuvan how different this film is from Jayam Ravi’s blockbuster Miruthan released earlier in the same genre. “Miruthan is a more serious type. Zombie films generally fall in the horror genre, but my movie Zombie crosses over into comedy genre. From start to finish, it is a rollicking comedy. While Yogi Babu essays a don, Yashika who became a heartthrob of youngsters after Iruttu Arayl Murattu Kutthu plays a medical student. All these characters come to a beachside resort and are having a gala time when a mysterious incident takes place. What follows is rollercoaster entertainment. There is a horror element as well. The story takes place on a single night.”

Is Yashika paired opposite Yogi Babu? “I didn’t write the script with the idea of a hero and a heroine. There are a lot of characters, Yogi Babu leads the males, and among the females, Yashika takes the central role. However, there’s suspense in their relationship, which I can’t reveal now (smiles).” Premgi Amaran composes the music.
