Films with quirky content always draw the attention of audiences. Thirumayi by Solomon Kannan is one such movie and there’s a buzz surrounding it. The film talks about the travails of people who climb up and down the hills near their villages carrying loads in donkeys. “Inspired from real life community involved in such cumbersome jobs, it speaks of their struggles and the politics that surround them. I have watched them in close quarters. Here a romantic angle is added in it.” It has been shot in real locations like Theni, Allinagaram, Varusanadu, Vadugapatti among others, he claims.  Ramchand and Anshitha from M’town play the lead roles. Masanamuthu essays the antagonist.
