That director Rosshan Andrrews is all set to make his acting debut by replacing National-Award-winning actor Joju George had set tongues wagging about a tiff between the duo. However, it seems that all’s well between them.
It was reported earlier that Joju had walked out of Rosshan directorial Prathi Poovan Kozhi, the big screen adaptation of Unni R.’s debut novel, owing to payment issues. Sources close to the actor refute the allegations, saying that there hasn’t been any misunderstanding over payment.
“All talks about payment were complete long before the film was announced. There hasn’t been any confusion. Joju had expressed a few concerns about the script, but as his suggestions couldn’t convince the director, there had been a difference of opinion. Then, Joju told Rosshan that he is not continuing with the project. The parting has been amicable. The two have been in touch after that,” the source adds.
Praathi Poovan Kozhi, which has already gone on the floors, has Manju Warrier, Grace Antony and Anusree as the female leads. The novel is a satirical take on the happenings in a village where the cry of a cock results in a huge social issue. The film based on it produced by Gokulam Gopalan also has on board Gopi Sunder as the music composer.
