Prakriti Kakar rose to prominence with the release of her songs in collaboration with popular Bollywood singer Ankit Tiwari’s Katra Katra from Alone and Bheegh Loon from Khamoshiyan.

Her rendition in the two songs garnered critical acclaim from music critics. Prakriti also had a dream-come-true moment recently after singing the song Tu Hi Jaane with Sonu Nigam in the movie Azhar.

Is there a song you love to listen to when: You're happy and upbeat? I usually sing, not listen to music.
You’re really low: Any EDM playlist
You're working out: Work Bi*ch by Britney Spears

Is there any music you used to love as a kid or a teenager that you’re now embarrassed by now?
I think Material Girl by Madonna was a song I was obsessed with when I was a teenager. Now every time it even plays on shuffle, it’s embarrassing since I’ve had really funny memories singing it.

How would you describe your taste in music:
As a singer I think one needs to be open to everything. So, I listen to all genres, all artistes and bands possible. I could start my mornings by listening to a Jagjit Singh ghazal and end my day humming a Coldplay song so, it’s everything in between.

Your favourite time/way to listen to music during the day:
Quiet evenings in my balcony listening to some brand new music on my iPod always refreshes me!

One band/musician you want a private concert from:
Queen Bee!

One live act you would love to see at least once in your life:
John Mayer.
