Days after actor Arshad Warsi commented on Prabhas looking like a 'joker' in Kalki 2898 AD, the film's director Nag Ashwin has spoken about it. Taking to X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, a fan posted a clip from the sci-fi film, which also featured Prabhas. Sharing it, the fan wrote, "This one scene (greater than symbols) >>>> whole Bollywood… Kalki 2898 AD… Prabhas.

Responding to it, Nag Ashwin tweeted, "Let's not go backward… no more north-south or bolly vs tolly (Bollywood vs Tollywood)… eyes on the bigger picture… united Indian film industry… Arshad Saab (sir) should have chosen his words better… but it's ok… sending Buji toys for his kids… I will work hard so tweets… that Prabhas was the best in K2 (flexed biceps emoji)."

Joining the bandwagon of Nani, Siddhu Jonalagadda, another Telugu hero Sharwanand, who shares a close bond with Prabhas, took to X and tweeted in the Kalki hero’s support. “An actor should never criticize another actor. It’s a basic ethic,” tweeted Sharwa. Even though the Manamey hero didn’t take Arshad’s name in his tweet, Prabhas fans thanked him for his support.

Earlier, in a controversial podcast, Arshad said that he didn’t like Kalki. “Prabhas, I am really sad. He was like a joker. I want to see Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. What have you made of it? Why do they do such things I never understand,” said the Munnabhai MBBS actor. Soon after his comments went viral, Arshad was subjected to non-stop trolling. Prabhas’ fans' fury was such that Arshad had to turn off comments on his Instagram post.
