Policeodu title changed to Police

The cops have forced Dil Raju to change the title of the Tamil film Theri which he was releasing as Policeodu in Telugu. In a statement, Dil Raju said that the Telugu title had actually been decided by producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu.

“However, the title has been changed now after police organisations met Dil Raju and explained their reservations about the title. The movie will now be titled Police in Telugu and it will release on April 15 as announced,” said the makers in a statement. Interestingly, the Censor Board did not object to the initial title. “Police organisations raised objections, stating that their feelings were hurt with the title. We respect their sentiments and thus decided to release it as Police,” says Dil Raju.
