Already buyers are rushing in for the theatrical rights and other rights of the Kalyan Ram starrer.

According to industry sources, ace producer Abhishek Nama has reportedly replaced director Naveen Medaram and wielded the megaphone for his big-budget flick ‘Devil’ starring hotshot star Nandamuri Kalyan Ram and Samyuktha Menon after replacing original director Naveen Medram.

“Creative producer Abhishek Nama has turned director for his big budget flick Devil." He has made an engaging and gripping story of a British Agent who takes up the job of solving a dark mystery. He is led into a web of love, deceit, and betrayal. The British Agent’s success and failure would change the course of history and the mystery thriller has come out elegantly,” says an industry source who claims that original director Naveen Medaram, who made films like Babu Baga Busy, was replaced since he wasn’t able to deliver the output as expected.

“With star hero Kalyan Ram also unhappy along with other top technicians for amateurish directorial skills, Abhishek was forced to step in but he did a fabulous job with some help from famed writer Srikant Vissa,” adds the source.

According to the source, Abhishek has completed a 5-year course in Fine Arts at JNU, which came in handy for this Rs 40 crore action extravaganza. “He received good support from top stars like Kalyan Ram since he trusted the producer-turned-director. He has extracted good performances from all the actors and also captured breath-taking visuals since the film was set in the pre-Independence era and also took care of ancient artifacts, dressing styles, and present the retro-look of the film with consummate ease,” he adds.

The source further claims that the producer-director has struck a great rapport with the scion of the Nandamuri family. “They are already planning to do a sequel ‘Devil 2’, since they have struck a chord. In fact, Abhishek adores Kalyan Ram for his professionalism, discipline, and dedication as an actor. They would like to work again and again,” he informs.

Already buyers are rushing in for the theatrical rights and other rights, but he wants to first complete his dream and ambitious project before closing various deals after completing the shooting in another 10 days "It is a true pan-India film and bound to rock across the world," he concludes.

However, when we tried to contact Abhishek, he didn't respond to our calls at the time of filing this story.
