RaaI Laxmi is playing a female lead in a Telugu film after a long time. This time, she has chosen a comedy role. “In Telugu cinema, I mostly appear in music videos. “Following that, I did Adhinayakudu opposite Balayya, but its release got delayed by nearly two years. If it had released at the right time, though, then it could have been a tremendous success,” the actress claims. She then got busy with Tamil movies and had been awaiting a good script in Telugu. Laxmi takes immense pride in her work in Telugu music videos. “All my special songs are popular. Rathalu, in which I’ve acted opposite Chiranjeevi, has gained so much popularity that people have started referring to me (affectionately) as Rathalu,” she exclaims. The actress also said that she has been getting offers to act in Hindi films, but they're not exciting enough.
“After Julie 2, I’ve been approached for similar roles, which I do not wish to pursue. Hindi movies can sometimes become all about skin-show, but in Telugu, you need to perform,” says the actress.
