Adivi Sesh says couldn't have asked for a better Xmas gift
Actor's three films have found place in IMDb's top 250 list
IMDB announced the list of top-rated 250 films of all time a couple of days ago. Three of Adivi Sesh’s films Kshanam, Evaru, and Major found a place in the top 250 coveted list.
Apart from Sesh, superstar Mahesh Babu’s three films Okkadu, Athadu, and Pokiri have also been featured in the IMDb list. While the film's positions change from time to time in a democratic way according to the votes the films garner, some movies stood the test of time and have managed to create a lasting impression among the audience.
And Sesh feels glad his films are resonating with the audience worldwide.
“I couldn’t have asked for a sweeter and better Christmas gift,” Sesh exclaims, adding that he is super thrilled that his films have become the most talked about. It shows what we are doing matters and lasts long creating a great legacy and not just only the box office numbers.
The actor states that the recognition tells him that what he is aspiring to do is something that people are resonating and connecting with. “It’s not a one-dimensional thing where we are just making films and leaving it. Audiences’ owning up to the film is a great validation of our efforts. The fact that we have reached out to a wider range of audience and these films have created a great buzz is motivating and inspiring.”
But does such an acknowledgment put him under pressure to bring out more quality films? Sesh replies “It has always been the case.”
“A commendation or a reward suddenly doesn’t push me to thrive on excellence because my goal has always been to push myself to make better films. And
yes such rewards in the journey will motivate you,” says the actor who had just begun shooting for Goodachari 2 and Dacoit.
