Ravi Teja Gears Up for Mr Bachchan: Third Film in His Rs 100 Cr Deal with People Media Factory

Seasoned star Ravi Teja is getting ready for the release of his much-hyped film ‘Mr Bachchan’ and it is his third film in the four-film deal he reportedly signed with leading production house-People Media Factory. “A lot is at stake for Mr Bachchan since Ravi Teja is doing his third film for the production house and he has to do one more film if they find the right script," says a source. He claims Ravi Teja changed the game in Tollywood and ushered in corporate culture in Tollywood. “Ravi Teja signing a Rs 100 crore deal with a production house set a new precedent and it also cuts the costs of producers as his remuneration of Rs 25 crore per film remains the same, despite hits and flops,” he adds.

He has matched strides with Bollywood stars and has agreed to a deal. “Bollywood stars and corporate houses have introduced this practice and Ravi Teja follows suit and adds, “According to the agreement, Ravi Teja has already done two films ‘Dhamakha’ and ‘Eagle’ and now he is awaiting the release of ‘Mr Bachchan’ which is the remake of Hindi film ‘Raid,” he points out.

Ravi Teja shares a great rapport with producer Vishwaprasad and they are in perfect tune to dish out big-budget flicks. “Producers are in talks with other big directors to stitch up another big ticket film to wrap up their four-film deal. They want to make only hero-centric films to cash in the larger-than-life image of Ravi Teja and have no plans to do thematic films since budgets don't permit such experiments,” he concludes.
