If industry sources are to be believed, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has put Gadar Film Awards on fast track and his government has reportedly formed a 16-member panel to decide frame guidelines to honour Telugu Film fraternity. “We welcome the decision of the Telangana government to revive Gadar Film Awards and it is good for the industry,’ says a source and adds, “A 16 member committee has been formed and they would be deciding about the logo, categories of award for actors and technicians, standards for judging a film and other key issues to take forward the awards momentum,” he adds.
He also claims that big filmmakers like Suresh Babu, Allu Arvind, Dil Raju, Tammareddy Bharadwaj, B Narsing Rao, Balagam Venu, Allani Sridhar and Sana Yadi Reddy and others will be members of this committee. “After thoroughly discussing things, the committee would draft guidelines for selections and then, would be inviting applications from filmmakers and they would be forming a jury to select the winners in varied categories and so on.,’ he concludes
The committee has to work in tandem with government officials to make the awards ceremony memorable and make it celebratory moments for the film fraternity. "State awards would give a fillip to good talent once again,' he concludes
