GSAT-6A's track lost before final orbit manoeuvre, scientists still searching

. Scientists are still figuring out multiple ways to re-establish link with the satellite.

It appears the satellite is now lost and only the formality of declaring it a failure remains.
As of now, preliminary data shows that ISRO has greater chances to retrieve the satellite. Once they do that, the satellite could be successfully places into its final orbit. (AP Photo)
In case of an emergency, the satellite goes into safe mode' and gets back online immediately. However, the GSAT-6A hasn't gone into safe mode' yet. (AP Photo)
