School principal suspended after student gets injured

Yadadri-Bhongir: District collector M. Hanumantha Rao on Thursday suspended P. Venkatesham, principal of Telangana Government Residential School at Survel, citing negligence in his duties.

The action followed an incident on December 18, where an eighth-grade student, Shivarathri Samuel, sustained injuries while serving 'ragi java' on the school premises.

The suspension order stated that Venkatesham must remain in Survel and is prohibited from leaving without prior approval from the district collector.
