VIJAYAWADA: Minister for excise, mines and geology Kollu Ravindra informed that Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu would soon announce a policy to provide treatment up to Rs 25 lakh under NTR Vaidya Seva in the state.

Ravindra said the state government will integrate the NTR Vaidya Seva and the Centre’s health scheme to provide a policy wherein beneficiaries can avail treatment up to Rs 25 lakh.

He also informed that the government would reopen 100 Anna Canteens across the state on August 15. One of them will be opened on the bypass road in Machilipatnam, he said.

Speaking on the occasion, Ravindra said the sedentary lifestyles, poor food habits, and pollution are leading to various diseases among people, forcing them to spend lakhs of rupees on hospital bills. In this regard, the government will collaborate with voluntary organisations to create awareness about healthy food habits and encourage people to adopt yoga and healthy lifestyles to keep diseases at bay.
