Andhra Pradesh: Two Arrested With 3 kg Marijuana

 Tirupati: The Chittoor I town police apprehended two brothers, B. Madan, 26, and B. Manoj, 23, for possession of 3 kg of marijuana on Sunday. The arrest took place around 11 a.m. on the Bandapalli-Chittoor Road, following a tip-off.

The suspects, both daily wage workers residing near the taluk office in the Mittoor area of Chittoor, were caught with two packets of marijuana weighing 2 kg and 1 kg, respectively. According to the police, the brothers had purchased the contraband at a rate of Rs 10,000 per kg and were selling it at Rs 25,000 per kg.

During the operation, the police seized the marijuana, valued at Rs 75,000, along with a motorcycle and two cell phones.
