Under the new rules:
MRP violations: For the first offence, liquor shop licensees will face a ₹5 lakh penalty.
A second offence will result in the cancellation of the shop's license.
Illegal sales at belt shops: Selling liquor outside licensed premises will attract the same penalties—a ₹5 lakh fine for the first violation and license cancellation for the second.
