The MoU was signed by AP MEPMA director N. Tej Bharath and representatives from the AP Trade Promotion Corporation Limited (APTPC), ONDC, My Store, and Home Triangle during a workshop held in Vijayawada on Saturday.
As part of the MoU, MEPMA will collaborate with e-commerce platforms ONDC and My Store to ensure transparent operations of associations and federations, contributing to the economic upliftment of SHG members. Currently, MEPMA is mobilising 28,77,019 women across 123 municipalities in Andhra Pradesh through 2.79 lakh societies to achieve socio-economic empowerment.
Bharath emphasised that the MoU aims to identify SHG products, facilitate their online marketing, and work towards eliminating poverty. He added that skill development initiatives and employment opportunities would be provided to members, enabling them to start small-scale industries in line with the MSME policy objectives.
The collaboration with Home Triangle aims to connect MEPMA members with opportunities in household services such as cleaning, plumbing, electrical repairs, and more, ensuring better economic development for participating families. The initiative seeks to transform lives by enabling sustainable livelihoods.
