East Godavari collector announces plans to develop welfare hostels using CSR funds

Kakinada: East Godavari collector P. Prashanthi announced plans to develop social welfare hostels using Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds. She directed officials to prepare proposals for the initiative, emphasizing the need for the Industries and Factories Departments to lead the charge in securing CSR contributions from industrial units.

The goal is to upgrade hostels like Rajanagaram Boys Hostel and Korukonda Girls Hostel, which are currently in disrepair. During a review meeting on the Tourism Department, Prashanthi also mentioned upcoming competitions for college and school students in honor of World Tourism Day on September 27, encouraging colleges to submit up to four nominations for events including elocution, quizzes, video reels, and photography.
