Vijayawada: Kondapalli Srinivas, the minister of micro, small and medium scale industries, rural poverty alleviation, NRI empowerment, said prompt steps should be taken to increase the establishment of MSMEs in the state and increase field level monitoring of the same.

Speaking at a review meeting on the performance of the MSME department at the Secretariat in Velagapudi in Amaravati on Thursday, Srinivas emphasised on simplifying government policies to make the state investment-friendly and to offer jobs to youth by increasing MSMEs, take steps to establish more institutions.

The minister directed the officials to pay special attention on the measures to be taken to utilise all these schemes of MSME under the Central government.

He urged the authorities to provide a suitable solution to the unemployment problem, create a favourable environment for entrepreneurs and attracting large scale investments.

Srinivas suggested that immediate steps should be taken to implement the slogan of ‘an entrepreneur in a house’ at the field level.

Industries department secretary N. Yuvraj, MSME corporation managing director Nandani Salaria and other officials participated in the meeting.
