Jana Sena Urges Supporters to Celebrate Pawan's Birthday with Green Drives
Vijayawada: Jana Sena Political Affairs Committee chairman and civil supplies minister Nadendla Manohar urged party members to celebrate Deputy Chief Minister and party president K. Pawan Kalyan's birthday on September 2 with community-oriented ‘Clean Andhra - Green Andhra’ activities. In a teleconference with party MLAs and MPs, Manohar emphasised organising cleaning drives at canals, ponds, schools, and public places, and collecting plastic waste along coastlines in Visakhapatnam, Kakinada, and Bapatla.
Manohar also called for a large-scale plantation drive using indigenous trees like Sacred Fig, Neem, and Tamarind, to enhance green cover. Naga Babu encouraged raising awareness about plastic pollution and planting at least 100 saplings per person. MLC Hari Prasad stressed the need to protect the newly planted saplings to ensure their growth.
