Kurnool: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur (JNTUA) received `86 lakh funds from the Central government-sponsored scheme Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) for its eight research projects of various departments on Thursday.

Speaking on the occasion, JNTUA Vice-Chancellor Professor G.V.R. Srinivasa Rao said that the funds sanctioned under the RUSA will be allotted to all 8 different research projects initiated by chemical, civil, electronics and communications, and mathematics departments of the varsity.

He further added that these projects that showcase the interdisciplinary research capabilities of the faculty and the successful completion within the stipulated period of two years will not only contribute to the advancement of knowledge but also enhance the academic standing of the university.
