Kidney dialysis centre inaugurated in Bangarupalem
Tirupati:Education minister Nara Lokesh inaugurated a kidney dialysis centre at the government hospital in Bangarupalem mandal of Chittoor district on Friday, fulfilling his first promise made during his Yuvagalam padayatra. Besides the dialysis centre, he also opened a new 30-bedded hospital building and launched a blood donation camp organised by the Red Cross. During his padayatra, Lokesh unveiled stone plaques every 100 km and made promises to the local communities.
After reaching the first 100-km milestone in Bangarupalem on February 3, 2023, he pledged to start a dialysis unit to address the needs of local patients if the Telugu Desam (TD) voted into power. He promised to inaugurate the unit within 100 days.
Speaking on this occasion, the minister said, "This centre will now provide free dialysis services, sparing patients the hardship of traveling long distances." He reiterated his dedication to fulfilling all promises made during the Yuvagalam padayatra. Highlighting the challenges faced during his 577-km padayatra across 14 assembly constituencies in Chittoor district in 45 days, Lokesh remarked, "You all have witnessed how the police of the Jagan Mohan Reddy government attempted to silence me.
Despite their efforts, they could not suppress the voice of Yuvagalam." He thanked the people for their support and recalled their warmth during his journey through Kuppam.
Later, Lokesh participated in the Praja Vedika programme at N. Kothur, where he met the party workers and thanked them for their trust in the TD.
During the meeting, attendees raised concerns regarding job creation and industry development in the region. Lokesh assured that significant opportunities would be created under Chandrababu Naidu's leadership, including a job calendar set to be released in January. He also addressed issues related to women's safety and education.
