Lord made me reveal Tirupati laddu’s facts: CM Naidu
VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu disclosed on Saturday that Lord Venkateswara made him reveal the facts regarding the Tirupati laddu.
"Almighty does everything. We are only nominal,” he remarked, declaring that his government is giving utmost importance to preserving the sanctity of temples and sentiments of devotees.
“We are discussing how to proceed in this matter. We will consult Jeer Swami, Kanchi Peetadhipati and Sanatana Dharma scholars in this regard,” the CM revealed while interacting with the media at Telugu Desam Party’s central office.
He maintained that every religion has its traditions. The government needs to respect all of them. He regretted that various temples across Andhra Pradesh witnessed various kinds of transgressions under the previous YSRC government. “The divine head of Lord Rama’s idol at Ramateertham had been removed. No one bothered about it. Even the least action had not been initiated against any one,” he pointed out.
The Chief Minister went on to accuse the previous government of playing with the sentiments of the people and not honouring their feelings. “How is it possible to get a kg of cow ghee at ₹320,” he asked.
"This is the reason why I have compared YSRC leaders with the most notorious Colombian criminal and mafia don Pablo Escobar," Chandrababu remarked. He underlined that the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) has submitted its report on the Prasadam of Lord Venkateswara. “Without responding to this, these people (YSRC leaders) are simply trying to refute everything,” he said, asking what should such people be called. He described as “shameless” YSRC leaders describing the Tirupati laddu issue as a diversionary tactic.
Chandrababu Naidu pointed out that immediately after assuming charge as the Chief Minister, he ordered the executive officer (EO) of the TTD to cleanse the Seven Hills of Tirumala. He disclosed that the EO has taken several measures to improve the quality of laddu and has blacklisted various companies that had earlier been supplying the ghee for laddus.
The Chief Minister asked how former TTD chairman Y.V. Subba Reddy can give a clean chit to the YSRC when its government did not follow any traditions atop the Tirumala Hills.
He recalled that when late chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy had claimed that Tirumala had only two hills, Telugu Desam had waged a war against that government at the time.Chandrababu Naidu said the state government will launch an operation soon to cleanse all the temples in Andhra Pradesh.
