Former CID Chief Sanjay suspended over misuse of funds

Vijayawada: Senior IPS officer N. Sanjay, former chief of AP CID, has been suspended by the AP government following a report by the Vigilance and Enforcement (V&E) wing. The report alleges that while serving as director general of fire services, Sanjay abused his position to misappropriate Rs 1 crore. He was accused of colluding with Sauthrika Technologies and Infra Private Limited to approve payments without work completion, rigging bids, and partial tender allocations. The report recommends criminal action against the company, placing it on a blacklist, and recovering the misused funds.
