Traffic Restrictions in Vijayawada for Swarnandhra@2047 Launch
VIJAYAWADA: NTR Police Commissionerate has imposed traffic restrictions in view of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu launching the Swarnandhra@2047 Vision Document at the Indira Gandhi Municipal Corporation Stadium in Vijayawada on Friday. The restrictions will be in force from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
More than 24 parking places are being provided for vehicles, including those of VVIPs and VIPs, coming from various districts to Vijayawada for participating in the Vision Document release programme.
Except for vehicles coming for Swarnandhra@2024, no other vehicles will be allowed between Benz Circle and Police Control Room along the Mahatma Gandhi or Bandar road. No vehicles will be allowed on Eat Street from Seetharamapuram Junction on Eluru Road (Deepthi Junction) to RTA Junction on MG Road and Water Tank Road from Sikhamani Centre to Chuttugunta Centre.
NTR district police commissioner S.V. Rajasekhar Babu said besides the traffic restrictions in the city, police department will also divert traffic on highways.
Heavy and medium vehicles travelling from Hyderabad to Visakhapatnam and Visakhapatnam to Hyderabad will be diverted at Ibrahimpatnam and Hanuman Junction. They will be rerouted through G. Konduru, Mylavaram, Nuzvid and Hanuman Junction.
Vehicles travelling from Visakhapatnam to Chennai and vice versa will be diverted at Hanuman Junction Bypass and allowed on both sides via Gudivada, Pamarru, Avanigadda, Repalle, Bapatla, Chirala, Throvagunta and Ongole. Vehicles from Guntur to Visakhapatnam and Visakhapatnam to Guntur will be diverted at Budampadu and allowed towards Tenali, Vemuru, Kolluru, Vellaturu Junction, Penumudi Bridge, Avanigadda, Pamarru, Gudivada and Hanuman Junction on both sides.
Vehicles travelling from Chennai to Hyderabad and Hyderabad to Chennai will be allowed in between Medarametla, Addanki, Piduguralla, Nadikudi, Miryalaguda, Nalgonda and Narketpalli on both sides.
Vijayawada city police will also divert traffic within Vijayawada. All RTC buses travelling from Visakhapatnam will be diverted at Ramavarappadu Ring and allowed into the city via Gunadala, Padavala Revu, BRTS Road, GS Raju Road, Eluru Locks, Old Government Hospital Road, Police Control Room and PNBS. Buses from Machilipatnam will be allowed into the city via Auto Nagar Gate, Benz Circle, Mahanadu Road, Ramavarappadu, Eluru Road, Gunadala, Chuttugunta, Deepthi Junction, Apsara Junction, PCR and PNBS.
Police ill divert RTC buses from PNBS to Visakhapatnam via PCR Junction, RTC Y Junction, Challapalli Bangalow, Hanumanpet, Eluru Locks, GS Raju Road, BRTS Road, Padavala Revu, Gunadala and Ramavarappadu Ring. Buses from PNBS to Machilipatnam and Gudivada will be allowed via Eluru Road, Ramavarappadu Ring, Enikepadu Junction and Tadigadapa 100-feet road. All city buses running between Benz Circle and PNBS will be rerouted via Benz Circle, Ramavarappadu Ring, Eluru Road and PCR.
No autos will be allowed between Benz Circle and Police Control Room. 108 ambulances and other emergency vehicles will be allowed on any route in the city. Police have suggested that government and private employees working in various offices on the MG Road should go to their office before 8 a.m., as there will be traffic restrictions on the M.G. Road from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
