The MP on Tuesday met Vaishnaw in Delhi and thanked him for sanctioning funds to conduct a survey for the Machilipatnam - Narasapuram railway line. In this regard, the MP urged the minister to develop a new railway line via Chilakalapudi, Pallepalem, Bantumilli and Matlam.
Drawing the minister’s attention to Machilipatnam - Repalle railway line, Balashowry said the proposed railway line is a long-pending demand of people of Avanigadda.
With the upcoming Machilipatnam port, this railway line will play a crucial role in the transportation of goods, reducing the distance by 55 kilometers and saving 1.5 hours of travel time of passengers who currently go via Vijayawada.
