Viksit AP@2047 Vision Targets 15 Per Cent Per Year Growth Rate

VIJAYAWADA: AP chief secretary Neerabh Kumar Prasad said steps are being taken to launch Viksit Andhra Pradesh@2047 Vision Document on October 2.

Addressing a virtual conference of special chief secretaries, principal secretaries and heads of departments on Tuesday, the CS underlined that the Viksit AP@2047 is aimed at achieving a growth rate of 15 per cent per annum in Andhra Pradesh. The state’s economy will reach $2 trillion dollars, with the per capita income being $45,000.

Neerabh Kumar disclosed that the Vision Focument will be placed before the state council of ministers on August 28. Suggestions, advice and opinions will be sought from people from September 1 to September 15. Competitions will be held among students of high schools from September 10 to September 14 to suggest what should go into the Viksit Andhra Pradesh@2047 Vision Document.

The Chief Secretary said the draft of AP Vision@2047 will be finalised on September 25. Steps will be taken in coordination with the NITI Aayog to launch the Vikasit AP@2047 Vision Document on October 2 in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief N. Chandrababu Naidu.

The CS said as part of Viksit AP@2047, five-year action plans will be prepared for each district in accordance with the priorities of the government. Zero poverty, development of infrastructure, demographic management, and ease of life will be planned department-wise. There will be key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the implementation of Vision Document. People will be informed about the growth figures through various social media.

Neerabh Kumar said a QR code will be made available at all public places like village / ward secretariats and fair-price shops, apart from WhatsApp, so that people can give their opinions and suggestions on the Vision Document.

Principal secretary (Panchayat Raj and Rural Development) Shashi Bhushan Kumar, IT secretary Sourav Gaur, education secretary K. Sasidhar, Village / Ward Secretariat director Hari Narayana, information and public relations director Himansu Shukla, principal secretary (Planning) Piyush Kumar and planning joint secretary Anantha Shankar were among the officials who participated in the video conference.
