Vijayawada: The YSRC has called for the immediate release of polling booth-wise results for the General Election 2024. A delegation, including former ministers Ambati Rambabu and Merugu Nagarjuna, MLC Lella Appi Reddy, and other leaders, met chief electoral officer (CEO) of Andhra Pradesh Vivek Yadav at the Secretariat on Tuesday. They urged the publication of Form 20s, which detail polling booth-wise results.

The delegation expressed concern that despite the completion of the election and vote counting, the detailed polling data has not been provided. They highlighted discrepancies in polling percentages announced at different stages: 68.12 per cent at 8 pm on 13 May 2024, 76.50 per cent by 11. 45 pm that night, and later revised to 80.66 per cent on 17 May 2024. They noted that actual votes counted exceeded these figures, reaching over 82 per cent.

The YSRC also reminded the CEO of a formal request submitted on 10 June 2024, which has not yet been addressed. They called for immediate action from the CEO and the Election Commission to publish Form 20s and resolve the inconsistencies in the reported polling data.
