Hyderabad: BJP Malkajgiri MP Etala Rajender urged associations of Backward Classes to play a key role in uniting the community and wage a war to get their rightful share in education, employment and politics.

Paying tributes to freedom fighter Sardar Sarvai Papanna Goud at his statue in Chikkadpally, Rajendar observed the egalitarian society cherished by the founder of the Constitution Dr B.R. Ambedkar was not achieved even after 78 years of Independence. He urged the members of BC communities to vote for those who could understand the spirit of the Constitution.

Noting that only a few BC leaders had made their way in politics due to their strength and ability, Rajendar said that the BC communities were the backbone of society and must now think why they had come to a stage where they were forced to beg for their rightful share.

Recalling Sardar Papanna Goud as an able administrator and a ferocious fighter, Rajendar asked the members of BC associations to focus on chasing their goals instead of holding meetings.
