Hyderabad: The State government will begin a caste census on November 6, making Telangana the first state in the country to carry out such an initiative. This decision was taken during a meeting convened by TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud, attended by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, and other leaders. An all-party meeting will also be held on this matter, according to ministers.
Meanwhile, the congress party is planning to invite Rahul Gandhi on the survey launch day.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhatti Vikramarka stated that meetings would be conducted in all districts to discuss the caste census, which aims to benefit socially and economically backward sections. He added that Telangana’s initiative could serve as a model for the rest of the country in the future.
