Congress-BRS Clash at Tirumalgiri Over Loan Waiver

Suryapet: Tension prevailed at Tirumalgiri when Congress and BRS members clashed with each other at Jangon crossroads following a dharna by the members of the opposition party led by former MLA Gadari Kishore, demanding waiver of crop loan to all eligible farmers.

BRS members raised slogans against Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at the dharna site following which Congress members pelted stones at then, leading to a clash.

The police rushed to the site and brought the situation under control. A few BRS members who received minor injuries were shifted to government general hospital at Suryapet for treatment.

The police stopped Suryapet MLA and former minister G Jagadish Reddy at Timmapuram, 20 km from the place of the incident.

He alleged that Congress workers had attacked BRS members by the direction of the CM. He said Revanth Reddy was trying to create riots in the state to divert the attention of people from his failures.
