Hyderabad Customer Finds Fried Plastic Cover in Biryani
Hyderabad: Here’s a word of caution for food lovers eating lip-smacking spicy biryani as a food aficionado Zenali S got a fried plastic cover in a chicken biryani ordered through a food delivery app on Sunday in Manikonda.
“Yesterday, I ordered a Chicken Biryani from Mehfil and I received a deep fried plastic cover in biryani, unfortunately it was in the bottom of the pack, so I ate the first half on top and then realised.
This is in addition to yesterday's complaint that there was a safety pin from the same Manikonda Mehfil from another X user. #Hyderabad #mehfil #foodsafety,” Zelani said. He also tagged @ cfs_Telangana, Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana in his tweet.
In another post, Zelani said, “And @Swiggy just closed the ticket, didn't even bother if I ate it or am I feeling good. Not everyone is looking for a refund, please have some empathy.” In response, Swiggy Cares @SwiggyCares said, “Hi Zelani. This is not what we like to see. Please help us with the order ID so we can look into it.”
Responding to Zelani’s tweet, netizens asked people not to eat outside food. A netizen Jangiti Venkatesh said, “Don't order outside food,” while another netizen Sai Krishna said, “Mehfil became a nightmare these days.”
