Cyberabad police destroy 5006.934 kgs of narcotics in Ranga Reddy district
Hyderabad: Telangana government and Cyberabad police have taken stringent measures against the epidemic of drugs and narcotics that are debilitating the youth.
The Drug Disposal Committee of the Cyberabad police on Friday destroyed as many as 5006.934 kgs of narcotic drugs at the GJ Multiclave (India) Private Ltd. at Edulapally village in Nandigama Mandal, Rangareddy district.
The destroyed substance pertain to 15 types of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act related to 122 cases registered across five zones - Balanagar, Madhapur, Medchal, Rajendranagar, Shamshabad covering 30 police stations from the last three years in Cyberabad Police Commissionerate limits.
The Drug Disposal Committee is headed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Crimes, K. Narasimha with Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Cybercrimes, Ravinder Reddy, ACP Cyberabad Crime Records Bureau (CCRB), Kalinga Rao, Narcotics Inspector Shivaprasad and team as members.
