Warangal: A large number of farmers, post availing waivers in the first and second phases, were seen forming long queues in front of banks for renewal of their loans in several mandals of erstwhile Warangal district on Tuesday. Some farmers were even seen sleeping in front of banks to hold their places in the queues.

Banks started issuing tokens to farmers as soon as they open to streamline heavy rush in banks. On hearing of this, more farmers rushed to the banks several hours before they open and join in queues.

Farmers, who did not get tokens, alleged that banks are intentionally delaying the process. Farmers seeking smaller loans get loans relatively faster than those seeking higher amounts.
Meanwhile, banks explained that there was no need for farmers to crowd banks and they should never go by rumours.
