Hyderabad Water Board Manager Caught Taking Bribe

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday arrested the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board's (HMWS&SB) manager in Manikonda and an outsourced employee for accepting bribe of Rs 30,000.
According to ACB officials, HMWS&SB manager Spoorthy Reddy and outsourced employee Naveen Goud were caught red-handed. They had demanded the bribe for issuing permission for two new water connections to a newly-constructed building in Manikonda, according to the complaint filed by Bommu Upendranath Reddy.
The two accused were produced before the court for judicial remand.
