Kaveri University Opens Drone Academy

Hyderabad: For the first time in Telangana, a private university outside Hyderabad has established a drone academy, aiming to transform the agriculture sector.

Kaveri University, Siddipet, in partnership with Marut Drone Academy, has set up a Remote Pilot Training Organisation (RPTO) that will train over 1,000 drone pilots annually, with a focus on agriculture-specific applications. Dr Velchala Praveen Rao, Vice Chancellor of Kaveri University, said that they hope to empower young talents with job opportunities while raising awareness about drone applications among local farmers.
