Man Given Lifer in POCSO Case

Hyderabad:One person was awarded life conviction in a Pocso case by the the Fastrack Court for rape and Pocso cases, LB Nagar, on Wednesday.

The convict has been identified as Mohammed Shafi, 25, a resident of Nalgonda district. A fine of `20,000 has also been imposed on the convict. A compensation of `7,00,000 was given to the victim.

The case was registered under Section 376(2) (i), 504, 506 of the IPC, Section 6 of the POCSO act, Section 3 (2) of the SC/ST act.
