MLC Amer Ali Khan insists on savings among Muslims

ADILABAD: Congress leader Amer Ali Khan, who was recently nominated as MLC under the Governor’s quota, on Sunday appealed to Muslims to focus on saving from their daily earnings so that they can give better life to their children instead of spending all the money.

Muslim minority organisations and local Congress leaders felicitated Amer Ali Khan who came to Adilabad for the first time after being nominated for MLC.

He asked Muslim women and unemployed youth not to apply individually for financial assistance from the government but instead to form groups like SHGs and apply for the same.

Amer Ali Khan addressed a meeting organised by the ‘Telangana Sanchala Muslim Thegala Sangam’ here in Adilabad. Amer Ali Khan said Muslim minorities should try their hand in small businesses by saving from their earnings and such efforts would give positive results and their families would be sustained financially.

He promised to provide free sewing machines and training to poor Muslim minority women for their livelihood. Earlier, he met the local Congress leaders.

He promised to try his best to improve employment and education opportunities for students and youth of the state and insisted on unity among all communities.
