Hyderabad: The Indian Union Muslim League’s Kerala state committee president Syed Sadiqali Shihab Thangal invited Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, for releasing his book titled, The Message of Love, at Kadavu Resort, Kozhikode district in Kerala on May 27.

The IUML organised Harmony Conclaves in Kerala and major Indian cities like Chennai, Bengaluru, and Mumbai, under the banner of ‘Souhridha Sandhesha Yatra’, where it brought together religious leaders from Hindu, Muslim, Christian communities to discuss the principles of secularism.

Deputy leader of opposition, Kerala Legislative Assembly, P.K. Kunhalikutty, wrote a letter to Revanth Reddy on Thursday, conveying Thangal’s request to attend the book release event of his party supremo Syed Sadiqali Shihab Thangal in Kerala on May 27.

Spearheaded by Thangal, the Souhridha Sandesha Yatra initiative proved to be a resounding success. Spiritual leaders from Muslim, Hindu, and Christian communities emphasised the importance of harmony and coexistence, advocating for healthy intercommunity relations.

Each leader expressed a commitment to safeguarding the secular fabric of the state and highlighted the significance of platforms where diverse voices could converge.

The programme garnered widespread appreciation, with newspapers publishing editorials and articles about its impact. Against the backdrop of increasing government-sponsored divisiveness, the conclave assumes heightened importance.

On May 27, the IUML will commemorate the anniversary of the Harmony Conclave and release a book documenting its memories. The event will see participation from Hindu, Muslim, and Christian spiritual leaders, as well as other eminent figures, furthering the cause of communal harmony.
