RGUKT Returns Original Documents to Student on HC Order

Adilabad: Samala Phani Kumar, an RGUKT, Basar student, who completed his B.Tech in 2023, finally got his original certificates from the institution on the direction of the Telangana High Court on Monday.

A native of Nalgonda district, Samala Phani Kumar belongs to BC community. He has to pay a fee of Rs 86,000 that has to be reimbursed by the state government but it was pending.

Phani Kumar completed his B. Tech in 2023 and requested the authorities to return his original certificates required for his higher studies, but the university refused, saying they did not get the fee reimbursement from the government for his studies.

The authorities told Phani Kumar that they would issue his original certificates only when he paid the fee. He ran from pillar to post to get his B, Tech and other certificates and even met the previous vice-chancellor and special officer and officials of Telangana higher education department but in vain. Finally, he approached the Telangana High Court on October 22.

The HC gave directions to the officials to issue his certificates without further delay. The HC issued the orders on October 24, asking RGUKT, Basar to issue the certificates to Samala Phani Kumar immediately and inform the same to it.
