Telangana Assistant Registrar held in Rs.1 lakh bribe case

Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Thursday arrested the assistant registrar of the deputy registrar of co-operative societies, Medchal -Malkajgiri district for accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh for doing official favour.

According to ACB officials, Bommala Srinivasa Raju, assistant registrar, deputy registrar of co-operative society in Medchal district was caught red handed while accepting bribe amount of Rs 1 lakh from the complainant to do favour in the cases filed by the Navabharat Cooperative Urban bank against the family members of the complainant and his friend.

The ACB officials seized the bribed amount from the possession of the accused officer, and it was reported positive results in chemical examination. The accused officer was arrested by the ACB and produced before the court for judicial remand.
