CM Revanth Reddy to meet MNCs in US, South Korea

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and a team of senior officials left for a 10-day trip to the United States and South Korea on Saturday, to attract investments in IT, healthcare, life sciences, food processing and other sectors.

Revanth Reddy will participate in 50 meetings with leadership teams of several multinational companies seeking investments in Telangana. The delegation's main objective is to secure `16,000 crore investments, which are expected to boost the state's industrial development by creating thousands of new jobs, official sources said.

The Chief Minister's delegation will visit New York, New Jersey, Washington D.C., Dallas and Seoul and return to the city on August 14. IT minister D. Sridhar Babu and a group of officials will leave for the United States on Sunday.

Revanth ReddyRevanth Reddy’s visit, part of Telangana's efforts to strengthen economic ties and foster industrial growth, was reviewed in a meeting chaired by Sridhar Babu at the Secretariat on Saturday. During the meeting, the minister outlined the schedule of meetings for the visit.

Several investment agreements in IT, electronics and other sectors, which have been under discussions in the last six months, would be finalised and announced during the current tour, the minister said. This visit of the CM-led delegation demonstrates Telangana's commitment to creating a favourable business environment and its ambition to develop into a robust economy through sustained investment and innovation, Sridhar Babu stated.

The Revanth Reddy delegation is expected to meet the leadership teams of Sigma, RCM, Arcesium, Corning, Zoetus, ARGA Investment Management LP, P&G, Rapid7, PepsiCo, HCA, SAIC, Charles Schwab, American Airlines, Trinet, Aurum Group, Amgem, Renesas, AMAT, Google, Standford Bio design Centre, Amazon Global Data Centre Planning, Enovix, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Monarch Tractors, Yuyu Pharma, LS Holdings, Hyundai Motors, Samsung C&T, LG Electronics, Samsung Healthcare, GS Caltex, Celltrio, among others.
