Yoga teacher's mastery over breathing control techniques let her clutch on to life after she was abducted from near Devanahalli.

Chikkaballapura: A 34-year-old yoga teacher survived a harrowing abduction near Devanahalli on October 23, after being kidnapped, molested, and nearly strangled by her abductors. Thanks to her mastery of breathing control techniques, she managed to survive and escape her captors.

The victim, Tamannah (name changed), was lured by a man named Satish Reddy, who pretended to be interested in learning yoga. After being coerced into his vehicle, she was taken to a remote forest area in Sidlaghatta taluk, where three other men and a juvenile joined the group. There, they stripped, molested, and attempted to strangle her with a cable.

Assuming she was dead, her kidnappers buried her in a shallow pit and fled with her jewelry. However, Tamannah used her yoga skills to feign death, eventually escaping the pit. She borrowed clothes from locals and managed to get to a government hospital in Sidlaghatta the following day.

Following a swift police investigation, authorities arrested six individuals, including Satish Reddy, Bindu (27), and three others. The suspects are from various parts of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
