Windows 7 and 8.1 receives updates
Windows 7 and 8.1 starts getting cumulative updates.

Microsoft recently announced the update for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. The updates are divided into two different parts and will take place on the second and third Tuesday of the month of October.
The first update includes certain security fixes. The latest Windows update is available only on Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) which makes it possible for IT authorities to get access to the security patches and deploy them on enterprise systems easily.
The second update will consists of non-security fixes and will be published on WSUS, Windows Update and Windows Update Catalog.
